‘The Commuter’s Tool Kit’ Collection is a new innovative range that has been developed for the everyday commuter in Manchester and other major cities around the world. The purpose of the collection is to design pieces with modular fit and technical sports features for a unisex range with street style influences, the wearer is enabled to commute to work protected from the elements and feel empowered to step into work. The print and colours used throughout the the collection is heavily inspired by all the patchwork and printed suits in the ‘Decorative Dandy’ exhibition. I used tram maps, bike element and tread print stencils/graphics to create a flamboyant ‘Dandy-esk’ original repeat print that sits throughout the collection on a multitude of pieces.
